Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of external challenges in the form of globalization, which requires organizations to have a clear vision and memory of future; and demands from education users and stakeholders for quality education. This study aims to determine the implementation of Akper's performance improvement strategy, analyze the problems faced by Akper's leadership, and examine future improvement efforts. The research smethod used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Akper's performance improvement strategy to prepare quality graduates is pursued through performance improvement strategies and programs that are in line with strategic plans, discipline and tridharma. The implementation of strategies and programs has been carried out according to the procedures established and evaluated in order to see the performance achievements. The problems faced by Akper with regard to the performance improvement strategy include: budget constraints to implement the tridharma of higher education and improve the welfare of lecturers; limited learning facilities; limitations of lecturers who have specialization/expertise; and regulatory changes. The improvement efforts taken regarding the strategy to improve the performance of the district nursing nursing academy are focused on the problems faced
