KONTRIBUSI KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA MADRASAH, KOMPETENSI GURU DAN KETERSEDIAAN SARANA PRASARANA TERHADAP MUTU PROSES PEMBELAJARAN PADA MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI JAWA BARAT

Abstract

Madrasas are expected to be educational institutions that have a strategic position with various advantages, both in the aspects of strengthening religious education, noble character and mastery of science and technology. To be able to meet these expectations, education in madrasas must have a certain quality and competitive. This study tests the leadership contribution of the headmaster of the madrasah (variable x1), teacher competence (variable x2) and the availability of infrastructure (variable x3) on the quality of the learning process (variable y) in the West Java Madrasah Aliyah Negeri. The study was conducted by randomly sampling 348 students of MAN 1 Bogor, MAN 1 Bandung and MAN 4 Ciamis using the KUAN-kual method with greater weight on quantitative methods. The main instruments used are questionnaires for each variable, supported by madrasah documents, field observations and interviews with several teachers and administrative staff. Data processing uses descriptive analysis statistics for each variable separately, simple linear regression and multiple regression. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the leadership of the head of the West Java Madrasah Aliyah Negeri is in excellent criteria, while the competence of the teacher, the availability of infrastructure, and the quality of the learning process are in good criteria. The results of simple linear regression analysis indicate that each variable x1, x2, and x3 contribute positively and significantly to the y variable, and the results of multiple regression analysis show that the three variables x1, x2, and x3 simultaneously contribute positively and significantly to the variable y.  The headmaster's leadership contributed 77.3% to the quality of the learning process. Teacher competence contributed 96.3% to the quality of the learning process. Availability of infrastructure facilities contributed 92.5% to the quality of the learning process. The contribution of the three variables simultaneously to the quality of the learning process is 96.4%, while the other 3.6% is from other variables. Thus, it can be concluded that the quality of the learning process in madrasas will be good if supported by good leadership from the headmaster, competent teachers, and adequate infrastructure facilities
